About CE Williams Orchestras
CE Williams Orchestras are comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade orchestras that have a wide variety of ability between each group. The Orchestras have won several musician awards in the past several years and have received many excellents and superiors at Solo and Ensemble, Carowinds, Orlando, and Concert Festival (also known as CPA).
Students are encouraged to stretch their knowledge beyond academia and implement their creative side while in class. Orchestra class has the same if not higher expectations than most classes because of combining visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning, all at the same!
These students, also have to increase their responsibility even more than normal in the middle school setting. Students are expected to practice for many hours outside of class, keep organized, and come in each day with a positive attitude. Students are given opportunities for outside performances such as All-Region and All-State Orchestra.
In general, CE William's Orchestras help students beyond the classroom and school setting. After multiple years of research and studies in various degrees, it can be pretty much said by all that music and arts are EXTREMELY important for developing students. Please see the Why Study Music Tab for more links, articles, and resources, on this valuable ideology.
